Rail-authority staff (Speaker 5) told the authority the easement request came from property owners who had preexisting driveways across the former rail corridor. The legal description includes clarifying language about responsibilities: property owners would be responsible for maintenance of their driveway and the easement does not impose stop-sign or signage requirements in its standard form. Staff noted the corridor currently has limited public use but is part of a long-term trail plan.
Authority members moved and seconded acceptance of the easement; by roll call the measure passed with all present voting in favor.
