Elmore County proclaims National FBLA Week, recognizes Stanhope Elmore students

Elmore County commissioners on Jan. 27 recognized Stanhope Elmore High School’s Future Business Leaders of America chapter and proclaimed February 2025 as National FBLA Week in the county.
Emma Constance, introduced at the meeting as the chapter adviser, and several Stanhope Elmore students described FBLA’s aims and activities, telling the commission the organization helps students explore career interests, earn industry-aligned credentials and pursue leadership roles. “At the conferences, we also have competitions,” one FBLA student said. “We always try to bring at least 2 to 3 people with us to nationals, which will be held in Anaheim, California this year.”
The students and adviser highlighted scholarship opportunities and networking benefits. Commissioners applauded the students’ presentations and accepted the proclamation; a photo was taken after the presentation.
The recognition was part of the commission’s scheduled special presentations. The vote to approve the proclamation was recorded by roll call during the business portion of the meeting and carried unanimously.
