Town Center site ready for next phase as demolition wraps up, developer readies housing

Mark Spagnoli, director of engineering, said demolition and site clearing at the Morrisville Town Center have finished and that infrastructure work will begin in the coming weeks.

“All the demolition and site clearing has been completed,” Spagnoli said, noting that recent ice and snow had limited activity on the site but would not delay the next phase. “They're gonna be commencing with infrastructure work in the upcoming weeks.”

Spagnoli identified the library on the site plan and said a multifamily housing project by Singh Development behind the library will move into site meetings and demolition shortly. “They'll be starting the multifamily housing project that's being done by Singh Development in the upcoming weeks,” he said.

To maintain library access during construction, Spagnoli said a temporary parking lot will be located across the street from Foxglove Drive. He described the lot as a short-term measure to serve library patrons once work on the housing project begins.

The update provided timing and sequencing rather than detailed budgets, permits or funding sources; Spagnoli limited the briefing to construction status and immediate next steps. He closed by saying further updates are expected over the next few weeks as contractors mobilize.
