At its Aug. 4 meeting, Belmont City Council adopted FY2025 budget amendment #21 and approved consent items that included a Governor's Highway Safety Program grant for a DUI enforcement position.
Staff said the amendment recognizes $2,430,723 in revenues above prior estimates and allocates those dollars across departments for overages and future capital. Staff noted that some entries are conservative to allow for audit adjustments; the packet shows transfers increasing unassigned fund balance and funding a North Belmont booster pump station CIP item for $130,350 (ARPA funds). Finance staff (referenced Jared Biles) has department-level breakout spreadsheets available to council.
The council also accepted a Governor's Highway Safety Program grant for a DUI traffic position with a total grant of $55,827 and a local cash appropriation of $9,852.
