Council amends appropriations ordinance, waives three‑reading rule and adopts emergency appropriations

The Fostoria City Council amended and adopted an emergency appropriations ordinance affecting the general fund and sewer fund after a motion to amend the title and numeric language and a vote to waive the three‑reading rule.

Clerk read an ordinance to amend Ordinance 2025‑83 (permanent 2026 appropriations) to appropriate funds from the general fund and the sewer fund and declare an emergency. Council member Lehman moved to amend the title to replace the words "revolving loan fund" with "sewer fund" and to memorialize the $36,000 figure in both written and numeric form; Podak seconded.
