Christy Johnson addressed housing and public-safety concerns tied to substance-use and drug-disorder topics on the agenda. She said she has been 17 years clean, recounted traumatic incidents she witnessed while living in an affordable housing complex, and said she relocated over the summer at a personal cost of about $30,000 after she felt retaliated against. Johnson attributed several violent incidents she witnessed to members of the East African community in that housing complex and said those experiences almost caused a relapse; she urged council attention to those safety concerns.
The chair asked for any additional commenters; none were recorded and public comment concluded.
