Council approves $4.65 million award for Boundless Journey Phase 2, cites secured grants

Councilors praised the project for its accessibility and community support. Councillor Giacchino urged the council to consider next steps and long‑term implications if the bid were approved; Councillor Rogers thanked donors and noted public enthusiasm. Community volunteer Marilyn Montoya described grassroots efforts to make the park accessible after encountering children with mobility limitations and urged continued attention to accessible features and the adjacent track area.
