They also reported visible black mold in a closet beneath the building and urged an immediate inspection by staff.
County Manager Miss Forget and other commissioners said they had not yet seen the full email chain about prior repairs and asked that staff locate those communications. Commissioners agreed to walk across after the meeting to view the problem and to pursue whether any insurance claims or prior contractor work addressed the issue. The board noted potential health and liability concerns and said it expects staff to report back on findings and corrective options.
No formal motion or expenditure was made at the meeting; commissioners requested onsite inspection and follow‑up from the manager's office.
