Supervisor Katrina Foley, who said she visited the site with colleagues, said staff expects an opening in May 2025 and commended HCA and Mind OC leadership for progress.
Supervisor Sarmiento and others asked that subcontractor performance metrics — including sobering services and drug withdrawal management delivered by partners — be tracked and shared on dashboards. A public commenter also asked about pharmacy licensing and utility work; HCA staff and supervisors said those operational questions will remain under project reporting and contract oversight.
The board approved the item unanimously. Supervisors said they expect timely reporting on metrics and schedule to maintain public transparency as the campus transitions to service delivery.
