Farmington’s City Council approved a 10‑year contract to provide National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)‑compliant health and wellness services for firefighters with Life Extension Clinics, Inc., the top‑ranked proposer.
Staff reported four offers were received when proposals opened Dec. 3, 2025. Jennifer Roland of central purchasing presented the evaluation and said the department’s recommendation to present Life Extension Clinics (Tampa, Fla.) to the council was based on evaluation scoring and resident business preference considerations. The contract term was requested in the RFP as 10 years, and staff indicated the contract will operate on an annual renewal basis within that framework.
The council moved to award the contract and approved the motion by voice vote, recorded as 3–0 in favor. Fire‑department representatives described the medical services as including annual physicals, prioritized cancer‑screening components, organ and vessel ultrasound and coordination of physical‑testing assessments to enable early detection and better outcomes for line personnel.
Councilors emphasized the partnership approach allowing reciprocal slots with county services and noted the program’s potential to improve occupational health outcomes for firefighters.
