The vendor would handle payroll runs, tax payments, federal filings, W-2s and 1099s, accruals and uploads to benefit vendors. Staff said outsourcing would reduce staff time spent on payroll and help meet filing deadlines.
Commissioners raised contract concerns: venue for dispute resolution was listed in the draft as federal court in Oklahoma, the termination clause and term were not clearly visible in the packet, and early-termination consequences needed clarification. The county attorney advised those issues should be resolved; the commission voted to ratify the contract subject to county-attorney approval and to require written clarification of term/termination language before final execution. Commissioners asked for a report back once counsel’s questions are answered.
