Belmont council unanimously approves 2025 Main Street work plan

The Belmont council approved the 2025 Main Street program work plan after representatives from the Main Street board described recent outreach efforts and interest from other communities.

A committee member suggested greater council involvement with the board’s committees and attending planning meetings so council could better coordinate event timing and participation. Main Street presenters suggested coordinating with local event calendars — including university schedules — so volunteers and staff can attend at times that work for community members.

A motion to approve the 2025 Main Street work plan was recorded in the meeting: "Motion made by Alex, ended by Catherine."
