Commissioners discussed permanence of easements and restrictions on certain uses; staff confirmed that preserved land easements are permanent and that certain uses — such as siting utility‑scale solar arrays — are not permitted on preserved farmland under the easement documents. The commission approved forwarding the certification report to the county commissioners.
