Commissioners discussed whether the earlier start would improve predictability and align with the city council’s recently changed schedule, while noting possible impacts on INL employees who travel by bus and other members of the public who might find an earlier time harder to attend. City staff said the commission sets its own schedule and that an adjustment only requires a motion; staff will update mailed notices and agendas.
Commissioner (speaker 7) moved to change the meeting time and Commissioner (speaker 2) seconded; the motion passed on a roll-call vote and will take effect immediately for the next meeting. Staff noted that the change can be adjusted later if it reduces public participation.
