DENTON — Melissa Cuevas of Denton Municipal Electric presented the fourth‑quarter review of the Energy Cost Adjustment (ECA) and the Transmission Cost Recovery Factor (TCRF) and told the Public Utility Board that staff recommended no rate changes at this time.
“This presentation is just informative. There’s no action required,” Cuevas said. She reported the native‑load ECA at 0.0462¢ and the large‑load ECA at 0.0577¢ per kWh, and showed forecast balances under those rates of roughly $19.6 million for the ECA and $1.8 million for the TCRF by September 2026.
Board members asked clarifying questions about the TCRF’s starting negative balance; Cuevas and staff explained the program’s cash timing reflects early payments and that the TCRF is divided over 12 months to pay down forecasted costs. Because the item was informational, the board took no action.
