The Lake Elsinore Planning Commission unanimously approved the Bridal Group industrial proposal to construct two warehouse buildings in Planning Area 3 of the East Lake Specific Plan.
Planning staff member Carlos Serna presented the application, describing two proposed warehouse buildings (each about 24,296 square feet), related site improvements including parking and landscaping, and a project‑related minor modification to reallocate 50,000 square feet of allowable industrial development from planning Area 2 to Area 3. Staff reported that the proposal is consistent with the East Lake Specific Plan and Lake Elsinore Municipal Code, that departments reviewed and conditioned the project appropriately, and that staff determined the project is categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act under the Class 32 infill exemption.
During public comment Josh Hall, identifying himself as a Lake Elsinore resident and the general manager and co‑owner of Scott of Elsinore, voiced support for moving the airport overlay to include Skylark Airport and for the project generally: “The airport’s been there for since the fifties, so it’s about time that the overlay got moved.”
With no objections on the record, a motion to approve staff recommendations for the industrial design review, conditional use permit and project‑related minor modification was moved by Commissioner Peters, seconded by Commissioner Devore, and carried unanimously.
