The Brentwood Board of Zoning Appeals voted to approve an accessory structure application for 2000 WillowMet Lane during its Nov. 17 meeting.
Staff introduced BZA2500Ten-four and recommended approval for a 748-square-foot detached brick structure with shingle roofing and an estimated height of 25 feet. The application was presented as consistent with lot setbacks and the OSRD zoning designation.
The applicant identified in the agenda as Sam Magdi described an L-shaped two-story design with a loft open to the space below, a full first-floor bathroom and a second-floor toilet for convenience. On the record the applicant said the upstairs area was intended for children's use: "My kids just like to be open," he said.
Board members probed the plans for finished elements, square-foot calculations, and whether the patio would be covered. Staff said they had not received neighbor objections or emails. With questions addressed, a motion to approve was made and seconded; the board voted to approve the WillowMet accessory structure as presented.
Next steps: final permits will be issued following routine building-code reviews and any required inspections.
