The Brentwood City Commission on Nov. 24 unanimously approved a consent agenda that adopted several 2026 employee benefit and insurance contracts, finalized an amendment to the municipal code governing building‑permit fee calculations, and authorized a vehicle purchase for the Planning and Codes department.
The consent agenda included Ordinance 2025‑9, an amendment to the municipal code to use square footage construction costs in calculating building‑permit fees (considered on second and final reading). Commissioners also adopted Resolution 2025‑82 to approve the proposed group health care insurance plan for city employees for calendar year 2026; Resolution 2025‑83 to accept a renewal proposal from Medical Benefits Administrators Inc. (a pharmacy benefit manager); Resolution 2025‑84 to accept a stop‑loss insurance proposal from Barton Insurance Group for 2026; and Resolution 2025‑85 to accept a renewal proposal from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee for vision insurance coverage for 2026. The commission also approved the purchase of a pickup truck for the Planning and Codes department.
Mayor (unnamed) called for a motion to approve the consent agenda, it was seconded and, after an oral vote, passed unanimously.
