Lincoln County Board approves routine agenda items, policies for review and personnel actions

The Lincoln County Board of Education met on March 3 and approved a series of routine and governance items by unanimous vote.
The board approved the meeting minutes, accepted and approved the consent agenda items labeled a through f, authorized payment of bills, and approved several policies to be revised and posted for a 30-day review period. The meeting minutes and each consent vote were recorded with a roll-call and carried by a recorded five-yay vote.
Board members also approved a financial request and personnel items (items a–d) after the finance presentation; recorded motions and seconding were announced in the meeting and carried unanimously.
Superintendent Barnett presented special recognition to Duval students who placed in a county art contest and distributed challenge coins to the winners. The board also discussed, but did not vote on, changing its regular meeting schedule from three meetings per month to two; chair noted special meetings could be called if business required.
