Facilities staff (Chris) presented results of a bleacher certification review under Minnesota's bleacher safety requirements and recommended accepting a bid from Safe LLC ("Stadium Steve") for required repairs at the Rice County Fairgrounds grandstands for $29,220; the board approved the bid and staff said work is expected to start in early April to be completed before the fair.
Administration presented the consent agenda (overtime report, payment of bills and personnel appointments), which the board approved. The board also ratified the Assistant County Attorneys union tentative agreement for 2025–2027 after membership had voted to accept the agreement.
