Parkland approves cybersecurity upgrades, vehicle purchases and city hall roof replacement

The City of Parkland City Commission voted unanimously Oct. 1 to adopt three resolutions that the city said will bolster cybersecurity, refresh its vehicle fleet and replace the city hall roof.
The commission approved Resolution 2024-059 to increase Microsoft cloud-service licensing so the city complies with the National Institute of Standards and Technology cybersecurity requirements. Commissioner Meyerson moved to approve and Commissioner Bridal seconded the motion; the measure passed on a unanimous roll call.
