McKinney reports 94% of FY25 departmental objectives met; city launches public performance dashboard

McKINNEY, Texas — City performance manager Saima Ali told the council on Dec. 16 that McKinney met the vast majority of its FY25 departmental objectives and unveiled a public-facing performance dashboard intended to increase transparency.
“During the fiscal year departments proposed and you approved 187 department level objectives to support your strategic priorities,” Saima Ali (performance manager) said. Ali reported staff found 94% of supporting goals were achieved at the close of FY25 and highlighted departmental outcomes including airport hangar expansion, new medical response unit deployment and average priority 1 police response times of about six minutes.
Ali also noted the city received approximately $121,000,000 in grants or maintained grant awards in FY25, representing roughly 13% of a $942,000,000 city budget. Staff emphasized the dashboard will provide quarterly and annual reports and that detailed supporting documentation is attached to the council packet.
Council thanked staff for the report; there were no substantive policy votes tied to the presentation. Ali said staff will continue to produce quarterly updates and make the performance dashboard available on the city website.
