The Waukesha City Board of Public Works voted Dec. 4 to direct staff to produce plans and specifications and proceed toward bidding for projects listed in the 2026 Capital Improvement Program.
Engineering staff described the resolution as an annual step to move approved CIP projects forward toward construction preparation. The presentation included project lists with estimated construction start dates and budgets; staff said a map of the projects will be finished and provided at the next meeting so members and the public can see locations and sequencing.
A board member moved the resolution, the motion was seconded and the board approved the direction for engineering to begin producing plans and specs for the listed 2026 projects. Staff did not identify any immediate contract awards as part of this action; the resolution authorizes preparation of bid documents and planning to facilitate later procurement and construction steps.
Staff said they will return with the project map and further details on construction timing and budgets as those documents are finalized.
