The Parks, Recreation and Forestry Board unanimously approved a contract recommendation to hire Hudsonite Productions to provide entertainment (5 Card Stud) for the Lowell Park beer garden and fireworks show on July 3, 2026.
Joanna, the staff presenter, described the event as a beer-garden-style pre-fireworks gathering with multiple food trucks and live music. "Hudsonite Productions represents the band 5 Card Stud. Lowell Park from 6 until 09:30 ahead of the fireworks show," Joanna said, and staff told the board the band had previously attracted large crowds for a prior event.
Board members asked about music style and logistics; staff said the band plays classic rock and cover music and that the department has used the band successfully at a past event. The board moved to approve the contract and voted unanimously.
Staff will coordinate final logistical details, including concessions and site operations, in advance of the July event.
