Board renews $5,000 Dick's Sporting Goods sponsorship for youth sports programs

The Waukesha Parks, Recreation and Forestry Board on Nov. 17 approved a recurring 2026 sponsorship agreement with Dick's Sporting Goods that provides $5,000 in equipment-related gift cards and promotional support for the department's baseball, softball and soccer programs.
Deb, the staff presenter, told the board the sponsorship has been in place for several years and that the arrangement "provides $5,000 in equipment related gift cards and promotional support for Waukesha Park recs and forestry's baseball, softball, soccer programs," which the department runs in exchange for organizational recognition and promotion of retailer events.
No board members objected; the board moved the contract and approved it unanimously. Staff said they would run the agreement from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2026, if approved by the council.
