During the meeting the Board of Public Works handled several routine consent and procurement items by voice vote.
The board approved the minutes of its February 19 meeting and consented to the payments presented. Staff recommended awarding the North Moreland Boulevard and Michigan Avenue traffic signal project to Leilad Contractors for a base bid plus alternate 1 totaling $433,976.02; the board noted the award came in under the $500,000 budget. The board also approved the low bid for concrete pavement patching (approximately $595,190) and a stormwater management practice maintenance agreement between the city and Balinski Homes for the Old Farm subdivision.
All motions for these consent and procurement items were moved, seconded and passed without extended debate.
Next steps: staff will execute the contracts and proceed with project scheduling and notifications as appropriate.
