The project is in the city’s replacement plan and was budgeted; the resolution authorized replacement in an amount up to $925,000 and provided for execution of contract documents.
On a second procurement, staff presented a resolution to piggyback a Florida Sheriffs Association cooperative purchasing contract to buy a replacement mobile generator from Tradewinds Power Corp. for $147,266. Garcia said the generator is part of the city’s replacement plan and ensures backup power capability for fire stations and other city facilities.
Both items were presented as budgeted replacement projects and were approved by unanimous roll call vote.
Next steps: staff will execute the applicable contracts and schedule installation; departments will return to the commission with any significant change orders or schedule changes.
