The Giles County board on March 10 approved an ordinance rezoning a parcel on East College Street from R-5 to R-4 in its second reading, authorized bid advertising for additional fire-department pagers and approved several routine procurement and personnel actions.
The board closed a public hearing on the East College Street rezoning after no speakers appeared and voted to adopt the second-reading ordinance, following a planning commission recommendation. Ricky Keith told the board the parcel was listed on the map as "map 97 b r partial 007" and that the rezoning was from R-5 to R-4; the motion to approve came from Gentry and was seconded by Worsham.
