Menomonee Falls trustees handled several administrative and quasi-judicial items, voting on consent-agenda matters, development dedications, a developer agreement, records retention, a zoning-code amendment and one licensing denial.
On a voice vote the board approved the consent agenda, which included minutes from previous meetings (11/17/2025 and 12/01/2025), a Waukesha County joint-powers agreement for 2026, and a fermented malt beverage and class B liquor license application for the Lawrence Event Center LLC (subject to fire, building, planning and health approvals), and an enclosed-premises permit for expanded outdoor seating. Trustee Sewell moved approval; the motion passed unanimously.
In general government business the board considered an application for an operator's license for Clark Kent. A motion to deny the license cited a 2024 felony conviction identified by staff and statutes referenced in the motion and noted the applicant had not provided evidence of rehabilitation; the motion to deny was moved, seconded and carried as recorded in the meeting minutes.
Trustees also approved the State of Wisconsin's general municipal records schedule to standardize record retention and disposition, which staff described as simplifying local recordkeeping and avoiding unnecessary retention costs.
In utilities and public works business the board approved a development agreement between Home Path Financial Limited Partnership and the village for Tamarind Subdivision Phase 5, under which the developer installs public infrastructure at no cost to the village and later dedicates it to the village. The board also accepted formal dedication and acceptance of public improvements for the Sanctuary at Good Hope East subdivision and multiple phases/additions of Fox River Falls. All of these motions passed by voice vote.
Finally, Trustee Hayes moved and the board approved by voice vote to convene in closed session under Wisconsin statutes cited to discuss litigation and negotiation strategy related to a notice of claim involving Falls Lanes Inc. and a claim by the Ralph and Susan Krieger living trust.
