The City Commission of the City of Parkland on Feb. 18 unanimously approved several procurement contracts and ordinances, including a citywide landscape-maintenance contract, construction of expanded parking at Terramar Park, demolition of the former Heron Bay Golf Course clubhouse and adoption of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism. The commission also approved a 3% merit increase for the city clerk.
Christine Garcia, senior director of operational services and projects, described the city's procurement process for the landscape contract and said the RFP drew 12 proposals; she said the agenda identifies an annual contract amount "up to $657,315." Garcia told the commission the evaluation…
