The Idaho Falls City Council approved its consent agenda and a set of routine administrative matters on Dec. 2 and handled three standalone items that had separate motions.
Consent agenda: The city clerk read appointments and reappointments to boards and commissions, a bulk ammunition purchase ($107,190), a compact wheel loader purchase ($89,595.71), software and professional services procurements ($104,802.50), the treasurer's report and airport concession arrangements (Overland West concession revenue agreement and a peer-to-peer car-sharing arrangement with Turo Inc.). Council unanimously approved receipt of the consent items on a single motion.
Police vehicle lease: Municipal services requested authorization for a lease-purchase program covering 14 vehicles over a five-year term totaling $904,135 with an annual payment of roughly $180,827; city staff confirmed the package remains within an authorized ceiling previously adopted by council. The council authorized the lease on a roll-call vote.
Final plat: Community Development presented a final plat for Idaho Traffic Safety Division No.1 (a storage/operations facility for a traffic-safety company) and the council approved the final plat and related reason-statement authorization, instructing the mayor and city engineer to sign final documents.
Votes and next steps: Each item passed in separate roll-call votes as reflected in the official minutes. Procurement and lease documents will be executed according to standard city contracting procedures; staff will coordinate any required budget entries.
