The City Council adopted a resolution to close out a Community Development Block Grant (21‑CDBG‑PL‑30002) that provided $125,000 toward an update of Wasco’s stormwater master plan. Mr. Via, the staff presenter, told the council the grant funded the stormwater‑planning work and recommended the City Manager or designee submit the closeout to the California Department of Housing and Community Development and the CDBG program.
"Tonight's public hearing is to close out the CDBG grant," Mr. Via said, adding that the funding helped the city prioritize stormwater infrastructure improvements. No members of the public asked questions or provided comment during the hearing.
Mayor Pro Tem Reina moved to adopt the resolution; Councilmember Medina seconded. The clerk recorded a roll‑call vote approving the resolution 4–0, with Councilmember Martinez absent. The resolution authorizes the city manager or a designee to execute the required closeout submission to HCD and the CDBG program.
