Commission approves Meadow Creek Park final plat with drainage-easement language

The DeSoto Planning and Zoning Commission approved the Meadow Creek Park final plat with a condition that updated drainage-easement language be included in the record.
City Engineer MD Hoshan told the commission that staff had sent comments to the applicant and that the applicant had provided updated plat language shortly before the meeting. "They have already entered the updated plat language," Hoshan said, and staff recommended moving forward with the approval provided the drainage-easement verbiage is included.
Staff also clarified that the item is a final plat rather than a minor plat; that designation was a staff oversight. Commissioners agreed the motion should reflect approval of a final plat with the added language. A motion to approve the final plat with the drainage-easement verbiage was moved and seconded and then approved by the commission.
The plat, described in staff materials as Meadow Creek Park, Block A, Lot 1 (ACS 61.3436) and associated abstracts, is owned by the City of DeSoto (case FPDash1268Dash25). Staff noted the updated plat language had been uploaded earlier the same day and recommended the commission’s conditional approval to allow recordation to proceed once the drainage-easement language is confirmed.
