Menomonee Falls board approves plats, easement and stormwater design contract in routine actions

At its Nov. 17 meeting the Menomonee Falls Village Board approved several routine but consequential items in a single business block while moving through the agenda.
The board unanimously approved a resolution granting final plat approval for Quiet Wood Addition No. 2 between Marcy Road and 1 Mile Road (tax key 128.132), following a Plan Commission recommendation that included 21 conditions. Trustee Paul Tada noted the plan commission's unanimous recommendation subject to those conditions.
Trustees also approved a utility easement in Kiwanis Park to Wisconsin Electric Power Company (tax key 33.979.004) to construct, operate and maintain underground and aboveground electric and telecommunication facilities; the easement allows the grantee to trim or remove vegetation necessary for the easement's use. Trustee Tada recused himself at the planning commission stage and did not participate in that earlier recommendation.
The board approved a contract with RA Smith Inc. for design services on the Shady Lane storm sewer and MS4 water‑quality pond project (project no. 74025). Trustees discussed that the MS4 pond will help reduce sediments and phosphorus in stormwater runoff to meet DNR requirements.
