The Menomonee Falls Village Board voted unanimously on July 7 to adopt an ordinance rezoning a parcel at N59 W13449 Manhart Drive (tax key 99.999011) to allow an equipment rental business.
A Plan Commission staff presenter identified as Amy described the parcel as south of Manhart Drive with two existing buildings and an existing parking area. She said the proposal adds a small amount of green space to an existing gravel area to accommodate screened outdoor storage and that the business would operate Monday through Friday from about 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. with an estimated 10–20 full-time employees. The Plan Commission recommended approval unanimously at its June meeting.
A trustee moved to adopt an ordinance rezoning the site to I-1 Light Industrial with an OC-5 Commercial Service Overlay to permit the equipment rental use. Trustees noted the commission’s unanimous recommendation, observed that the property does not border residential uses, and said pavement and site improvements would be an improvement to the site. The motion was seconded and passed by voice vote with the board recording unanimous approval.
The ordinance text and the effective date were adopted as presented; an effective date was not specified in the meeting discussion. No members of the public spoke during the public hearing on the item.
