Chair (Speaker 2) told the commission he had not signed minutes since January after noticing "slight discrepancies" between the certified minutes and versions formatted for online publication. He said some minutes appeared "so called altered" during the formatting process and that while the differences had not changed any rezoning or formal action, he would not sign the minutes until the issue was resolved.
Commission members supported a review of the process. Speaker 4 suggested the chair and vice chair examine the matter and Speaker 5 recommended involving the county attorney "to cross all the T's and dot all the I's so that, you know, nobody can come back on these set of minutes." The chair agreed to follow up and provide an explanation at the next meeting.
No formal disciplinary action or vote was taken; members described the issue as a procedural/formatting concern rather than an allegation that the commission had taken improper actions. The commission agreed to bring an update when Mr. Randolph (who had compiled comparative notes) is available to present his findings.
