The Manitowoc Common Council adopted a three-year collective bargaining agreement between the City of Manitowoc and International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) Local 368 covering Jan. 1, 2025 through Dec. 31, 2027.
Personnel Committee chair presented document 18-21, which reflects terms negotiated between the city’s bargaining group and the union’s executive team. Alderman Sitkowitz thanked both bargaining teams for their work and said the group met in a marathon session to reach terms. Council President Bill Schley praised the speedy completion, noting the contract was in place before the prior contract expired.
Council members recorded that the contract addresses working conditions and wages for the three-year period. The council moved and seconded the committee’s recommendation and voted to adopt the agreement unanimously.
The transcript records praise for both bargaining sides and emphasizes that the agreement will cover 2025, 2026 and 2027; the meeting record does not include detailed contract terms or specific dollar amounts.
