Missouri City Council on Wednesday approved an amended schedule of fees for the city's Quail Valley golf operations, adopting higher green fees and updated pass and facility charges intended to move the operation toward self-sufficiency.
Sergio Salazar, general manager of Quail Valley Golf Club, told the council the proposal is built on the assumption that La Quinta Golf Course will not be fully open until May 2026 and that the clubhouse will likely reopen around March 2026. Salazar said the combined golf-course and clubhouse operation needs to generate about $5 million a year to be sustainable and that, under the proposed rates and expected utilization, the club is forecast to lose roughly $260,000
