The Jackson Town Council acted Feb. 2 on several land-use items, approving a zoning map amendment and moving other code changes forward.
Ordinance A, approved on second reading, changes the zoning classification for Lots 5 and 6, Block 9, Cash 2 Addition (addresses 252 and 254 East Simpson Avenue) from office-residential to public/semi-public and was adopted by unanimous vote.
The council heard Ordinances B and C together on first reading. Ordinance B amends Article 1 (general provisions) on nonconformities in the land development regulations; Ordinance C amends Article 6 regarding parking and loading standards. Staff read the titles and council approved the ordinances on first reading as a grouped action.
Ordinance D proposes annexation of a parcel described as the West half of the Northwest Quarter, Section 35 (Township 41 North, Range 116 West) generally located east of Nelson Drive, including a U.S. Forest Service parcel. The council approved Ordinance D on first reading; no public comment was recorded on these items at the meeting.
Council members made no substantive amendments during the meeting and passed the items as presented.
