Betsy Robinson said the shelter took in about 200 dogs and about 300 cats over the two months, with most animals arriving as strays. "We are currently sitting at about 7% overcapacity as of Monday in our dog kennels and at about 43 in our cat kennels," Robinson said, noting outgoing numbers were roughly equal to incoming totals. She also reported roughly 200 adoptions, about 150 foster placements, 738 animal protection calls, 114 animals returned-to-owner and 38 animals microchipped or provided ID tags during the period.
