The Austin Community Development Commission conducted its annual officer elections at the March 10 meeting. The chair opened nominations, commissioners nominated candidates and, after seconds and brief remarks, the commission held roll-call votes.
The commission elected a new chair (nomination accepted on the record and approved by roll call) and later named Commissioner Arnold as vice chair. Commissioners reviewed the officers’ responsibilities, which include chairing meetings, approving draft agendas and appointing members to working groups. The chair noted terms run annually and that votes are public and by roll call.
The votes were conducted on the record and the chair announced the results after the roll-call tally.
