After reconvening from executive session on Feb. 10, the League City City Council in open session considered pending litigation listed on the agenda as Cause No. 25-C-0267 (BigLeagueDreamsLeagueCityLLC v. League City).
A councilmember moved that staff be directed to proceed consistent with the executive-session discussion; the motion was seconded. "Okay, move, that we direct staff to proceed as discussing second session," the councilmember motioned. The council voted and the motion passed unanimously, 8–0.
Council members also considered item 15(b), an offer of a financial or other incentive to a business prospect that seeks to locate, stay, or expand within the city of League City, but the council took no action on that item during the meeting.
The mayor stated that there was "no final action, decision, or vote with regard to matter considered in executive session just concluded," confirming that the direction to proceed was made in open session as a discrete action following the closed meeting.
The council adjourned at approximately 7:15 p.m.
