The League City police chief presented the department's annual racial-profiling report to the City Council on Feb. 10 and said the report had been submitted to the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement and to the local governing body.
"Our racial profiling report has been fully submitted to the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement, and you have been provided with a copy of our racial profiling report," the chief said, adding that the department did not detect issues in the year's data and that stop-and-search volumes were consistent with recent years.
Council members offered brief positive remarks and did not press further questions about the report. One councilmember complimented the document as "very thorough." The chief reiterated that no concerns were detected in this year's statistics.
The council accepted the report as provided and moved on to subsequent agenda items.
