At its Dec. 16 meeting the Rowlett City Council approved its consent agenda (including minutes and an amendment to the fiscal year 2025 adopted budget) and considered appointments to various city boards and commissions.
Council moved, seconded and carried the consent agenda without objection. The council then ratified most board appointments in a single motion (carried 7–0). For one appointment (Mark Gibbs to the golf advisory board as an alternate), council conducted individual consideration: motion and second were recorded, and the appointment carried by a vote of 6–0 with one abstention. Council members thanked community volunteers for stepping forward.
What happens next: Appointees will be notified to begin service according to usual board onboarding and staff processes.
