Rowlett honors three Rivers brothers with veterans certificates and Quilts of Valor

Volunteers from Quilts of Valor — including Lori Coates (speaker 5) and a volunteer identified as Yvonne (speaker 6) — described the organization’s mission to award quilts of comfort and healing to those touched by war. The volunteers presented quilts made by local members (noting quilters Willie Hall and Lori Colts and Yvonne Knight among crafters) and invited families to participate in a presentation and photos.
No formal council action was required for the recognitions; the mayor thanked the volunteers and VROC and the meeting proceeded into announcements.
