Leander council unanimously approves economic-incentive and property-conveyance agreements after executive session

Councilmember Becky Ross moved to approve a Chapter 380 economic-incentive agreement (project EDA-25008) by and between SJP Acquisitions LLC and the City of Leander; the motion was seconded and carried unanimously. The agreement authorizes the city manager to execute the agreement and related matters as discussed in executive session.
The council then approved an agreement conveying property for municipal uses by and between Northline Leander Development Company LP and the City of Leander (Alex Tyneberg referenced in executive session). That motion also passed unanimously on roll-call votes.
City staff summarized that the agreements are intended to support a multi-story commercial office development at the Northline site, to provide land and facilities for municipal uses (possible future library, cultural center or museum), and to anchor infrastructure improvements that support city services. The council did not provide additional substantive public debate on the agreements at the open meeting; both items followed executive-session negotiations and were approved by vote.
