City Administrator Fort Hanley told the Committee of the Whole on Jan. 6 that Orange Beach will close 2025 with about $121,000,000 in liquid assets on an unaudited basis.
Hanley gave the council a topline financial summary: total 2025 revenues were roughly $111,000,000, expenditures were about $87,500,000 and the city conducted approximately $35,000,000 in capital work. He added that department heads are projected to come in about $2,000,000 under operating budget and that investment income exceeded $4,000,000 for the year.
"We’re gonna end the year with just under $121,000,000 in liquid assets," Hanley said, and credited department leadership for managing spending. Council members responded positively, noting the results allow the city to avoid additional debt for now and to fund planned capital projects.
Hanley and council members framed the results as unaudited and subject to final audit procedures. The administration noted the figures reflect both operating performance and capital spending approved by council.
