Board approves 3.504‑acre outright exemption for new Kremmling library

Community Development Director Chris Manguso presented a request for an outright exemption to allow construction of a new Grand County Library District facility on a 3.504‑acre parcel adjacent to the high school in Kremmling. Manguso said the property will be served by town water and sewer and that planning commission recommended approval unanimously with five standard conditions (recording fees, platting, tax matters, etc.).

Commissioners discussed site access and public benefits; one commissioner noted the new location would avoid students having to cross U.S. 40 to reach the existing library. Public comment included visible support from two attendees.

Commissioner George moved to approve the exemption "as presented by Director Manguso" and authorized the chair to sign the documents; the motion passed on voice vote.
