Staff also said a variance previously granted by the City Council allows the proposed street to be configured and designated as a private street with an entry gate. "This is an aerial view of the property... the purpose of this request is for 7 single family residential lots and 1 open space lot," the staff presenter said, and indicated the submission included grading, drainage, utility and tree-conservation plans.
Chair (chairman) asked staff to confirm compliance with prior council action; the presenter confirmed the plan meets requirements. Commissioner (speaker 3) moved to approve the plat revision referencing the staff report dated Feb. 13, 2026; the motion was seconded and carried on a recorded vote of 3–1.
Because plat revisions of this type are largely ministerial for the commission, members said there was limited discretion to alter the proposal. With approval, staff may finalize the plat documents and proceed with administrative processing consistent with the approved plan.
The commission’s approval concludes the Planning & Zoning review; no additional public testimony was recorded for this item at the hearing.
