Council grants one-year extension for tentative tract map at 500 Baseline Road
Summary
La Verne approved a one-year extension (to Nov. 3, 2025) for Vesting Tentative Tract Map No. 82001 (500 Baseline Road), the second annual extension permitted under city code; staff noted the property was annexed into La Verne earlier in 2024.
The La Verne City Council on Oct. 7 approved a one-year time extension for Vesting Tentative Tract Map No. 82001 (commonly described as 500 Baseline Road), extending the mapexpiration to Nov. 3, 2025.
Planning staff reported the map was originally approved by the council on Sept. 20, 2021, became effective Nov. 3, 2021, and that the property was annexed from unincorporated Los Angeles County in March 2024. Under city code the developer may request annual extensions and the project is eligible for continuation up to the maximum allowed term.
No members of the public spoke during the public hearing on the tentative map extension. Following staff remarks, the council moved to approve the resolution granting the one-year extension; the motion passed 3-0.
The council did not add conditions or require further public input at this hearing; staff said they are available for any follow-up questions and will track the new expiration date.
